And I guess one of the things we're known for here at Java with Julie is that we tackle tough questions, even when we know we're not going to come away with all the answers.

And this is definitely one of those conversations.

Our topic is actually one that Christians still struggle to agree on.

The question is, what does it mean to be masculine and feminine?

And in the end, does our gender even really matter?

So joining me at the coffee shop is Sarah O'Connor. Now, many of you

have heard Sarah on job with Julie before talking about biblical womanhood, theology, and gender roles.

And joining us also is Glenn Stanton, who debates and lectures extensively on issues of gender,

sexuality, marriage, and parenting at universities and churches around the country.

Some of the questions we're going to address in this conversation.

Are male and female just cultural constructs?

Are we actually just somewhere in between the male and female and we choose for ourselves?

Or does gender really matter?

Is it God-given? Does gender apply to my soul? Or does gender really matter? Is it God given? Does gender

apply to my soul or is it just what my body is? And have we confused gender roles with what

it actually means to be male and female? Now, as controversial as these questions are, I always

encourage to learn about the beauty of God's design within our two

genders, male and female, and the ways that both of these genders bear the image of God.
