So today's topic is cookie cutter diets.

And let's just start with a definition of what I mean when I say a cookie cutter diet.

I simply mean a diet that is universal in its application.

There are certain rules, there are certain requirements.

And the whole point of the diet is to cross your fingers and hopefully create a caloric deficit.

So let me back up.

In order to lose weight, you have to follow the laws of thermodynamics, which means you have to consume less calories than you burn.

And I think most people understand this concept.

It's why we've been told for years that we need to eat less and move more.
