with the counselling tutor podcast episode 20 204 we have three topics that we've

specially prepared for you today starting off with counseling foundations where we visit the very

building blocks of counseling and today we're going to be looking at barriers in communication

what are the things that can come between us and a client in our practice? Then

focus on self, where we recognise that we are the heart of our practice as practitioners. We look at

applying the theory that we might learn or pick up through our arc of training, through our

continuous professional development, and how that theory

applies to ourself. And then in our final section for this episode, practice matters, where we

dip our toe into practice and look at what may present in our therapy room. Rory met up with

Chloe Swinton to speak about a really interesting topic. I love this lecture,

Rory. It's a lecture on ambiguous loss. So you want to be sticking around for that.

Really, really interesting stuff. But starting us off, looking at those counselling foundations,

we look at the barriers to communication.
