at Gordon G. Chang. We're speaking with Nouri Turkle of the Hudson Institute, a senior fellow.

Most importantly, he is the institutional memory for this show and for so many people in the United States

about the abuse of the Uyghur people, deliberate abuse by the Chinese Communist Party.

The same kind of abuse visited upon other minorities who have been crushed inside the People's Republic.

Right now, there is a story that Nouri began with telling me about China retaliating.

Nouri, how is China retaliating? And then I'll ask you about what is to be done for the consumer in America.

What are they doing, Nore?

They're retaliating on two fronts. One is against those

speaking out, including government officials in the United States. Senator Rubio himself been

sanctioned by China for being a leader in this fight. The Secretary of State designated.

Yes, yes. he will be the first

secretary of state. Yes, and also several of my Hudson Institute colleagues, including myself,

Secretary Pompeo and others also have been sanctioned, including our president, John, John Waters.

John Waters. This is one of the ways, and also recently they sanctioned Mike Gallagher.

They're trying to interfere our life in here, trying to scare us from doing the right thing.

But, you know, this is something very important as a country, as a people, as a human being, that we all need to collectively to say no to modern day slavery.

So that's one retaliation against the advocates and the US government officials.

The other action that the Chinese have taken, this has been in the news as well, that they're pressuring companies from doing the right thing

early on when H&M and Nike said that they are stopped sourcing from Xinjiang

Xinjiang cotton there were states upon sponsored instigated attack retaliatory attacks against these companies. As a result,

Nike backed down from its commitment. And recently, a PVH, the parent company for, the parent
