Summary

*Content warning: This episode includes discussion of substance abuse, gun violence, violent threats, self-harm, suicide, suicidal ideation, stalking, emotional, mental, psychological, and physical abuse.

Stacie Burrows is a comedian & writer from Topanga, California by way of Texas. We first met about a decade ago while we both performed in a live show centered around motherhood. Although I connected with her musical comedy then, it wasn’t until I watched her one-woman live show, Bulletproof Unicorn, that I truly understood the scope of her strength and tenacity. This week, Stacie is sharing her experiences with domestic violence and sibling abuse, as well as what came next for her after she turned the aftermath of her grief into a one-woman comedy show.
