Despite the fact that her tumultuous journey has included extensive abuse and both physical and emotional pain, Dr. Danny is a true beacon of hope

for survivors. No matter what came next for her, she has managed to channel her energies into

true advocacy and to make change in athletic systems all around. My name is Daniel Moore. My mom would probably describe me as courageous, strong, intelligent, kind.

My husband said, driven, compassionate, thankful, and having grit. I just got married. I was a gymnast

for about 14 years. I was always flexible. I just had like a natural niche for it. As a kid,

I remember literally climbing walls. So I think it channeled that energy. That feeling of flying is

amazing because it's coming from your own body's strength. You don't necessarily get that from other

sports. Then I tried out for a junior team which kind of fast tracks you through the different

levels of gymnastics.

And that was fun until it was not because of the coach and just the dynamics, the pressure, the negativity, the abuse.

My mom could see it because I was always so nervous before practice. But I had that drive or it was drilled into me that I had to go to

practice. I had to be perfect. And then I got hurt. So that was a natural exit from competitive
