Welcome to the Daily Meditation Podcast.

0:08.0

And welcome to day two of our seven-part journey this week as we explore a theme. Many of you can relate to, in fact

0:18.2

this is by request, many times over, and the theme is getting unstuck. So your meditation technique

0:29.1

today will be an affirmation you can repeat to help you along your journey, whatever that journey is for you, as you think about a goal you want to accomplish or maybe a

0:47.7

relationship you want to initiate or a relationship you want to end or a new job or a move or relocation, whatever is making you feel a little stuck, honor your journey. So there is a book by Pima Chodron, who is an American female Buddhist monk.

1:15.7

And she wrote a book called Getting Unstuck

1:20.4

and she discusses in this book how it's important to be gentle with yourself and to accept feeling irritable or

2:39.2

So I often see parents with young children or especially with new babies feeling like they're stuck,

2:48.4

but the time goes so quickly as children grow up and the best time you can spend is this time

3:00.7

giving this gift of your presence to your children and you can focus on your other big

3:08.8

goals later. In fact you'll have so much more incredible insight just from having raised children

3:20.0

when you do focus. At that time, when you have the capacity to fully be present and pursue a new goal.

3:30.0

So this is important because so many people feel lousy. You may feel like you see so many other people accomplishing their goals and

3:48.8

what's wrong with you? Why can't you move forward on this project or this move or this

3:58.0

relationship? But keep in mind that whatever you think about repeatedly you reinforce. So be gentle with
