Hi, this is Steve. One of the reasons I think John and I have so much fun recording the Cinephiles

is that while we both have an equal passion for film, our perspectives and approaches to film

are often quite different.

And those differences lead to great conversations,

and occasionally those conversations can get a little bit contentious.

However, nothing has been quite so contentious as our reactions to the end of Clint Eastwood's Academy

Award-winning Western, Unforgiven.

And maybe the fact that Unforgiven can bring up such passionate and diverse responses is just one more indication

of its greatness.

You see, while there are all sorts of entertaining movies out there, the great ones stick with

you and the great characters, whether it's Charles Foster Kane, T.E. Lawrence, Michael Corleone, or

although John and I both have very strong opinions on the subject.
