Welcome to Unbreakable Latina.

Hi guys, welcome back to Unbreakable Latina. This is your host, Melina. I hope you're having an amazing day, whatever day you're listening to this on. I'm recording. It's Sunday. It's 6 p.m. It's a million degrees outside. And I kind of just been in hideouts since I came back from running this morning. Your girl went to run. I felt good. It was really hard

0:40.5

because I hadn't really been working out. It's been like on and off. And for the last two weeks,

0:46.0

I was on my period. I was going through some very difficult times. And I just wasn't feeling myself.

0:53.6

So today, well, last night, actually, I decided I'm going to wake up early,

0:57.7

I'm going to go for a run. And it felt so good. I am training for my 5K and to a lot of people it

1:03.6

might not seem like long, but to a person like me that doesn't like running, it is a challenge.

1:10.1

And at first I was huffing and puffing, but then I

1:13.1

you give running that many chances? So I posted a video that went viral and everybody's like,

1:24.4

you're calling me out. But it's true. I felt motivated by the fire. I know it

1:28.4

sounds lame, but I really did motivate myself by saying like your ex is laughing at you because

1:33.4

you're quitter. And it just made me want to run faster. So if you were looking for motivation,

1:41.5

I hope that is your motivation and I want everyone to

1:45.8

join me in this running in the summer girl era but we have to wake up early as hell to

1:50.7

avoid this heat because it is crazy I wanted to let you guys know the reason why I

1:57.1

didn't record last weekend I was just an emotional mess. As some of you know, I lost

2:05.2

a friend of mine that I grew up with. And we were there for his family. It's my mom's best friend.

2:13.4

And his little sisters, he came out of my kinseniera, like, Juel and I had a lot of memories.

2:19.6

So it just, I don't know, it was a really big shock when I initially got the news that he passed

2:26.7

last month in May, well, two months ago now. And it took about a month and some change for

2:33.1

the services, and I was really anxious.
