anger. And this is the first episode in a seven-part anger management meditation series. Before we begin the meditation, I want to let you know that it's okay if you're

angry. And I say that because I've seen so many people who begin a meditation ritual and they

think that all of a sudden they're not supposed to experience

anger or a lot of emotions that we consider negative. They feel like they're above that. And I have to

say that this is a trap for many meditators because if you feel this way,

you're quickly going to become very disillusioned with meditation because meditation is not

about glossing over your emotions or pushing them aside and focusing on more pleasant emotions.

Meditation is not a cover-up. You experience the full breath and beauty and difficulty and all the different emotions that we're designed to experience.

And what meditation does for you is if you're dealing with a difficult emotion,

it pulls you away from the distractions around you to give you a deeper sense of your real self and who you are at your core.
