co-pilot. We're going to the moon, but not immediately.

We're going to the moon the Chinese communist way.

And we have Rick Fisher, senior fellow at the International Assessment and Strategy

Center, to take us to a conference in China within these last days, Wangshun City, a

conference that came together over two days to talk about the International Lunar Research Station,

I LRS, and China's plans for not only the moon,

but in between the Earth to the Moon, the transit that you must make if you're going to be a moon power.

Rick, a very good evening to you. You would introduce this topic to me some weeks ago and I was gripped immediately

with Chinese overall intention not only to secure the moon but to fortify its position in between Earth and Moon.

At this conference it was recently held in early September, what was presented and how did the participants regard the

presentation? Good evening to you. Good evening, John. Good evening, David. Yes, from

September 4 to 6, the Chinese Deep Space Exploration Laboratory,

which is now attaining a kind of quasi-diplomatic function. Not only does it produce studies and

reveal what China is doing in near space, deep space and beyond.

It is now actively signing up new participants with the China-led International Lunar Research Station,

which is the Chinese-led coalition

to compete with the American-led Artemis Accords.

And they've given their conference a new name.
