and David Livingston, Dr. Space himself of the Space Show joins, and David's been visiting

symposiums and seminars and gatherings of people who spend their time thinking about the next and the next in space, not just astronomy,

not just rocket engineering, but also what are we going to do when we get there? I mean the moon or Mars or beyond that.

And David and I welcome John Josie, who is a member of the National Space Society,

NSS, as well as a senior associate at the Space Studies Institute.

John has been thinking about what we're going to do when we get there for a long time.

John, a very good evening to you.

We're closer than ever for a second moon race. To the

South Pole of the Moon is likely, but anything's possible. Between sovereign

powers, that would be China and Russia working together, the US working with perhaps partners and

clearly commercial space also working very hard.

We can mention India is interested in the South Pole, other private players will be coming in.

But when they get there, what are they going to do?

Just kick some rocks around, put them in their pockets and come back. No, they want to stay there for a few days. You've been thinking

about that for a long time. How long, John? And now that we're closer than ever to this

space race of a Moon colony. How long do you estimate it'll take them to build what you've been
