There’s a quiet unraveling that can happen in the name of doing it all. You wake up one morning feeling like a shadow of yourself—your schedule’s full, your to-do list is long, but your soul feels thin. You’re showing up, sure… but not from a place of wholeness. “Something has to shift”, you think. In today’s episode of Let’s Be Cleere, I’m joined by my dear friend Alyssa Joy Bethke—author, mama (now to four!), podcast host, and truth-teller whose life is such an example of what it means to steward what matters and learn to release what doesn’t. Her newest book When Doing It All Is Undoing You has been an anchor for countless women feeling stretched, worn, and quietly wondering, “Is this how it’s supposed to feel?” Together, we talk about the ache and glory of motherhood, the refining nature of life’s transitions, and the sacred undoing that often comes before deep healing. Alyssa shares what it looks like to embrace slow rhythms in a world that tells us to run faster—and how rest, surrender, and small faithfulness are often the truest signs of strength. Whether you're in a season of busyness, transition, or simply trying to breathe deeper and live slower, this episode will meet you there—with gentleness, wisdom, and the invitation to lay it all down.✨ In this episode, we explore: • How undoing can be the beginning of healing • The myth of balance and the beauty of surrender • Her CRAZY, miraculous birth story of her fourth, Jayden (you won’t want to miss this one!) • Rhythms of renewal in the thick of motherhood • Why your worth was never meant to be earnedThis one feels like a deep breath. A reminder that less really can be more, and that you’re already deeply loved right where you are. How do we know when we are operating out of a pain cycle— what does it look like to find the root, do the deep work, and let God restore us from the inside out? In this convo, my DEAR friend, Meshali Mitchell, digs into the process the Lord has taken her through— both in her own soul and literally as she restores a farmhouse that has now become her home. The truth is, if you want to experience love of any kind, you will have to risk rejection, hurt, and the pain that comes from being loved by imperfect people. As Meshali walks through her own personal healing process in her new book, “Restored: Partnering with God in Transforming our Broken Places”, she offers such deep practical insight that will meet you right where you are. I think this is a question we all ask ourselves, right? How do we know that we know that we know when it’s God speaking? What if it’s not?In this episode, I walk through four “tests” per se, that might help you discern whether what you’re hearing is actually the voice of God.Hint: It doesn’t sound like Morgan Freeman and it’s usually not a burning bush. Disappointing, I know. But truly, we tend to over spiritualize what it sounds like or assume that it’s only on special occasions or big decisions but in reality, the Heavenly Father is always speaking!Through His people,Through His Word,Through prayer,Through dreams,Through all kinds of places and particulars, His voice is reminding you that you’re seen, significant, and safe. The kicker? His voice usually calls us to get uncomfortable, release some things that we want to hold onto, or calling us to step up in ways we feel ill-equipped.John 10:27 says, “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me."You are His sheep. He is your Shepherd. You have the Holy Spirit. You hear His voice right where you are..I hope as you make space for quiet and lean in, this podcast will help remind you that you already hold the superpower of having direct access to the King of Kings. It’s absolutely extraordinary, and it’s true.

But then the weeks turn into months, and you start to believe you'll never be able to stop, slow down, or catch your breath. You wouldn't even know how if you tried. Is this how God intended for us to live? How do we enter into the abundant life God offers us? Follow me.”.The truth?God doesn’t qualify the ready; He readies the called. He wants to walk with you + partner with you right where you are. Everyone always says, “You shouldn’t operate out of fear.” And I only HALFWAY agree with that. I would clarify and say this: YOu must operate out of the right kind of fear. We are always operating out of fear of something. It’s how we are wired.Either we are operating out of worldly fear and that drives us or we are living out of holy fear and that is guiding us.Fear isn’t a negative thing; it’s WHO and WHAT we fear that determines whether we experience deep abundance or debilitating anxiety..In this episode, we dig into the difference…how do we notice when we are living in worldly fear and how do we live in a holy fear that reveres God instead? What does this look like?.Follow along with @cleerelystated for daily encouragement! We are backkkkkk!!!!:) Season 3 is kicking off with a short and sweet episode where we talk about a few things that have really been helpful for me this year and I think could bless you!The “let them” theory by Mel Robbins— I’m sure you’ve seen it everywhere but it is truly transformational if you walk it out! This theory asks the question, “What is truly my responsibility?”. Let’s just say I didn’t realize how often I was taking responsibility for things that I had ZERO control over! The power of PRAYER: The Lord has been reminding me of this truth over and over again through my own life and those around me— there is nothing like the power of prayer! Specific prayers open your eyes in ways nothing else can. Bold prayers increase your faith in ways nothing else can. We talk about how I’ve seen this with Sledge’s life! It’s that time of year! Gatherings and festivities and managing life’s obligations and sometimes, we forget that our peace isn’t negotiable. We get caught up in the hustle of life and the pressure of the world around us, tying our peace to the ever-going ships of people, places + particulars around us instead of the anchor Himself. And though we know it happens, we still find ourself doing it! Frazzled, frustrated, and frantic in spirit, we try to survive the holidays instead of thrive as we experience them. HOW CAN THIS YEAR BE DIFFERENT?! In this episode, we dig into how to revive our peace this holiday season. With Jesus, it IS possible, no matter the circumstance we’re facing or enduring. Let’s commit to pursuing peace, whatever it requires. ‘Tis the season for a new way— a life-giving way— that savors the present + surrenders the unimportant. In this episode, we walk through ten things that the Holy Spirit continuously reminded me of during our recent trip to Texas for Sledge’s physical therapy camp. Though not revolutionary, I firmly believe these reminders will challenge, encourage, and refresh you in whatever season you find yourself in right now. Life on earth is short and yet, we spend so much time focusing on things that don’t matter and then trying to understand why our soul feels restless. That is mercy— pure grace— that we would hear the Father’s whisper in a million different ways as He calls us back to Himself and assures us that the satisfaction, richness, and meaning we are searching for can only be found in and through Him. Praying that this episode meets you where you are. What is God speaking to you right now? Are you listening? Have you stopped long enough to hear Him?

In order to truly live unfiltered and bring the unfiltered version of ourselves to the feet of Jesus, we must be willing to pay the cost of vulnerability. What are the risks? Is it safe? How do we know when to be vulnerable? And what happens if we aren’t willing? Do the costs outweigh the rewards? In this episode, we dig into both and learn what our Heavenly Father says about the power and necessity of being vulnerable. If we were crafted for relationship, is it possible to have a fruitful life and remain filtered? Let’s ask Jesus together!

In this episode, we dig into what it really means to be unfiltered— in the way that Jesus asks + longs for us to be— the kind that produces peace and ensures our contentment + safety. In this podcast, we dig into the word “with”- the four-letter, incredibly common word used a million times in our everyday vernacular but I personally think it might be the most powerful word in the english language. I know that’s a big statement but you’ll see what I mean as we dig deeper together. With: the notion of togetherness. Camaraderie. When you are with someone, you are not alone. I would argue that it is WHO you are WITH that changes your experience the most– not even where you are or what you’re going through or whatever it may be but the company you keep while you’re there.

And what do we use every single day to communicate with those we love, those we just meet, and everyone around us? WORDS! God is always speaking— sometimes, it feels like the faintest whisper, and other times, it’s as loud as a mighty roar. In this episode, we dig into 5 things God is teaching me and why I feel like they matter; though not revolutionary or complex, His constant nudges are always the way to a fruitful and faithful life. My prayer is that as you listen, the Holy Spirit might whisper to your own heart. Does something resonate with you? Or what has He been saying to your heart— and better yet, have you been listening? Taking inventory of His voice reminds us that He truly is everywhere and that intimate details are His specialty. It's been a minute! I've missed y'all! Season 2 is kicking off with a mixture of interviews with some of my favorite people and then some conversations with just you and me! He is the lead pastor of Open Door Church in Winterville, North Carolina and I have had the privilege to sit under his wisdom, guidance, and obedience for several years. We dig deep-- everything from knowing your own red flags to hearing God's voice to what it looks like to truly lead from a place of vulnerability and authenticity. Amidst the madness of life and the going, going, going, I think it's always so healthy and helpful to take a step back and ask yourself: What is God teaching me right now? Am I listening? And when I hear Him, do I have the faith and courage to follow? In this episode, Cleere dives into three different things God is teaching her right now...3 things that the Holy Spirit has continually prompted and brought to her spirit... 1. How do we find order? We all crave it. 2. Are we supposed to avoid tension in our relationships? Can it truly be helpful? 3. What happens we talk about how big Goliath is? Does it help us fight? As you listen, think about the things God is showing your spirit. Turn down the voices and get still...He is speaking. We tend to put creating in a box...placing "creative" underneath the column of painters, photographers, artists, etc. But in reality, God created all of us to create! In this episode, we dig into the reasons why we tend to stay small, insecure, quiet, or unsure about the gifts He has given us, the space He has us, and the places He calls us to. It's time to think outside the box. It's time to welcome back our imagination, dip into our innovative spirits, and ask Jesus to help us show up with bold creativity, not missing a single thing He has for us. This podcast finds us all in a variety of circumstances and situations, doesn't it? Some of us are in seasons of parenthood, singleness, new jobs, or big transitions. Others are navigating their through a new normal they never asked for and still are praying away. However, what we all desperately want is to live a life that is steady and peaceful, no matter what rocks our boat-- aka, to have a trusting heart. But HOW? When life is so crazy and so uncertain and often messy, how does that even happy? In this episode, Cleere walks through the acronym of TRUST and the different steps and reminders we can activate to live a life where we really can rest and say, "It is well with my soul"--wherever life takes us. For all of us lately, "normal" has felt a thing of the past. With the constant uncertainty looming and life's ever-changing tides, how do we maintain our peace? Our hope? Our joy? Our faith? In this episode, Cleere will talk about how her family's normal was hijacked when their son, Sledge, was born at 26 weeks old in July (hence the gap between this episode and the last!) and the decision they had to make in order to faithfully navigate life in the hospital for 119 days. With that life change, Cleere realized she had two choices: She could either react or respond. That's our choice everyday, isn't it? But the truth is, we always have a choice— when we walk by the Spirit, no matter how difficult our circumstances or how uncertain our future seems, we can always RESPOND knowing Jesus is on the clock and He is for our lives. It will change everything when we do.
