Sin isn't a very popular subject.

I mean, people don't mind talking about bad habits or lacking purpose in life.

But Nancy DeMoss Walgamu says that we need to admit to a far greater problem.

Ultimately, God did not send his son into this world to die, to save us from those things.

He came to save us from those things. He came to save us from our sins.

Happy Christmas Eve, Eve.

I've heard someone call today Christmas Adam. I don't know if that works or not, but anyway, Christmas is just two days away,

and I'm feeling all the comfort and joy just thinking about it. You know, the holiday we're about

to celebrate isn't just about sentiment. Many of us have happy memories of traditions,

presents, and time with family, and those are wonderful things. But true peace

doesn't come from happy holiday memories. It arrives when we admit a heavier truth. I'm a sinner.

Here's Nancy with some good news about sin. Well, it's taken us the last six sessions to get

through the first sentence of the text we've been studying from Luke

chapter 1 although in all fairness it is a very long sentence and we've been in Luke 1

verses 67 and following the hymn of Zechariah a blessing that he spoke of benediction

in the Latin it's called the Benedictus, and the blessing that he spoke

to the Lord and of the Lord when the Lord sent his Messiah to the earth. Now, the Messiah hasn't yet been

born. Mary is still carrying that child, but the Holy Spirit lets Zachariah know that the child who has
