Hi, my name is Pete Scuzero, and I want to welcome you to the emotionally healthy leader podcast today.

0:06.5

This is part two on your integrity and your leadership.

0:10.4

And last week, actually, it was part one.

0:13.1

And I shared a sermon that I gave a couple of years ago out of Acts chapter 5 versus 1 to 11 on Anonized and Sapphire.

0:22.2

And it was just so important for me, and I think for you as well as a leader, to base that on a very powerful biblical

0:28.6

story of the implications when we don't have integrity, at least from a biblical perspective. But

0:34.3

today I want to expand on that and get very practical. And I'm just kind of

0:39.3

trying to imagine we're sitting at a table here and we're talking about integrity. And if I was going to

we live our entire leadership lives. And it comes out of the principle of the higher up

1:02.3

1:07.1

words, the more integrity is needed. You're a more public person, your actions or lack of actions have a impact far beyond you realize.

1:18.6

And you're unable to explain yourself because you're in a much larger sphere of influence.

1:25.6

And so it's everything that you're saying, doing, not doing,

1:28.3

not saying that impacts people. And your shadow, of course, casts a greater projection as well as

1:37.4

your light. So again, 1 Timothy 3, that's why it says about being above reproach if you're going

1:42.1

to be an elder in a church, because the impact of your integrity is so great.

1:48.3

And so, again, we define integrity as you're the same person on stage as off stage.

1:52.6

It is a congruence of your inner and your outer life, your soul and your role that you're in.

1:58.9

And so I have four areas of integrity for every leader that I believe are

2:03.7

foundational. And a little backdrop here is my journey with this has been long and hard.
