Welcome to episode 2,860 of the Daily Meditation Podcast. I'm Mary Meckley and I welcome you as you get ready to give yourself permission to slow down to connect to the best part of who you are. I welcome you to the final day of our series.

This week, the theme we've been exploring is reclaim your mental focus and your focus and your time is at an all-time premium these days.

So this has been a week to refocus your thoughts on what matters most to you.

You have also been on a freedom quest this week.

This is where you have been focusing every day on those thoughts that seem most pervasive,

most distracting. And you have been freeing yourself from these thoughts.

This is a good ritual to do every day.

Notice the different distracting thoughts that seem to hang over your head.

There are certain thoughts, more toxic thoughts that you can't wait to shake

off of you. You know when you've had a conversation with someone who's pretty toxic. Sometimes

it can seem as though there's a dark cloud around you and it can be difficult to

filter through that cloud to begin to restore your thoughts to something more uplifting. So that is

what you'll be focusing on in today's meditation to release those most distracting, toxic thoughts.

As you settle yourself down, make yourself nice and comfortable, sitting up straight, closing your eyes, gently elevate your eyes upwards.

Begin to tune into how you're feeling today, this brand new day. Each time you show up for yourself as you meditate,

you give yourself a different experience.

Every day is different.

As you name your emotions right now, consider what may have triggered those emotions.
