Summary

It's the morning after the presidential election in the United States. Today, we pause to pray for our world leaders, the respective countries we live in, and how we're moving forward as a family, regardless of the outcome. In this episode, we discuss:

* How to talk to your kids about the election* Why loving your neighbor matters more than your political affiliation* Why we should talk to our kids about character and candidacy* Coming together as a family to pray for our leaders, countries, and outcomes

0:14.0	Welcome back to the Famous at Home podcast. This week is a very important one here in the United States.

0:21.2	from all over the world, and we want to invite you, wherever you're listening from, all
0:26.6	over the world, as we drop this episode today, to be praying for your nation that you're
0:33.1	a part of, that you live in, to be praying for your leaders.
0:35.9	We are called by God to be praying for
0:38.5	our national leaders. And so I just really want to encourage you to be praying for your
0:43.1	national leaders and just also invite you, humbly invite you to pray for our country. We had
0:51.1	an election yesterday. I do not know because of when we're recording this what the
0:56.2	outcome of that election is. And there's a lot of uncertainty if we're even going to know today
1:01.8	what that outcome was. But I just do know, I do know that there's a lot of uncertainty in our
1:08.7	country around this election and around what
1:10.8	could happen after it. And we felt it important that as families, being famous at home, that we
1:17.3	talk to our children about what's going on in an age-appropriate way, of course, but talk to them
1:24.3	about the election. One of the things that we did is I took my son with me to vote,
1:30.3	and I talked to him about the process,
1:31.8	and I talked to him about what that meant and looked like,
1:34.0	and we're talking to them about some of the issues in the country,
1:37.4	but we're doing it at an age-appropriate level.
