Don't ignore your spouse this week.

I know we're going negative here. It sounds negative.

But it's so easy to ignore your spouse even when you feel like you're doing everything you possibly can to connect with your spouse.

Let me give me an example.

I remember when we were really in the deep.

We were really in the thick of it early on with our kids.

And I remember doing everything I could.

And this has been a pattern in our marriage.

And it even continues to this day.

There are moments where it's not as deep as it was then, but it still

rears its head today, where I feel like I'm doing everything that I can to serve Christy.

I'm taking care of the kids. I'm up with the babies at night. I am working hard. I'm after work.

I'm done working and I'm trying to help with dinner. I'm trying to help with the kids. And I feel like I'm doing everything possible. And it still met with this sense of, I miss you. You're not paying attention to my needs. You're not touching me enough. You're not listening to me.

I feel alone or some type of message that comes at you where you feel like, no, wait a minute

here. I'm doing everything I can and it's still not enough. And I remember when we were in the

trenches, Christy giving me an illustration that was so powerful.

She said, I feel like what you're doing is you're trying to save a sinking ship and all you're

really doing is plugging the holes. And you're plugging a hole here, but another one's opening here.

And, you know, I told that story one time, and I had someone asked me afterwards, what did you
