week's episode I talked about collecting the dots and then connecting them and

today I want to share a few dots

that I've been collecting and thinking about

and learning about.

Some have been on the back burner kind of percolating.

And this weekend, I was in a seminar that I'm taking and the

neurons just started firing and all the dots connected in a way that kind of took my

breath away. So I want to share this with you. Hopefully I'm able to explain it in a way that makes sense, but here we go.

One of my philosophies, one of my personal philosophies about creating art and what I do is what expands my mind also expands my art and that's why I'm a lifelong learner.

And I make it a point to learn not just about art,

but lots of other things.

So I purposely expand my mind in areas outside of art

because I have this belief that it all connects somehow.

I also hear from artists all the times and sometimes they think that their work doesn't matter. And today what I want to offer you is not only

doesn't matter to you, it matters to us. And by us, I mean all of us. and I am totally convinced of that. I am absolutely

convinced that your art matters but I also kind of know that my belief

doesn't really help you if you happen to be in one of those funks and you truly believe that what you create doesn't matter to anyone else.

I know that my conviction might inspire you for a little bit,

maybe enough to finish that painting that you're working on right now,

and maybe it'll even spill into the next painting that you do and if it does I am super
