When Wallace asked me for a podcast about George Washington when he was a kid, he told

There really aren't many books about George Washington when he was young.

I own a huge library of old books and many of them were written about 200 years ago.

And among those old books, I have a set of four books written in the mid-1800s by Washington

Irving, the author of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and other American classics.

Washington Irving is my favorite early American author and George Washington is my favorite

founding father.

So this set of books is absolutely one of my favorite series of all times.
