Smith and Kelly Black. Hey friend, it's Kristen. Grab your scriptures and let's dive into Exodus 21,

verse 32. Now, how much was the Savior's life worth? To Judas Ascariat, it was worth what

the chief priest paid him to betray Jesus,

30 pieces of silver. Interestingly, in the law of Moses, 30 pieces of silver was the value placed on a

slave. The law said what would happen if an ox gored and killed someone else's slave. Quote,

he shall give unto their master 30 shekels of silver.

In other words, if another person's animal killed someone's slave, that person had to pay them

30 pieces of silver to cover the cost of replacing the slave. Can you imagine valuing the life

of the savior of the world at such a price? Those who bound, scourged, mocked, and ultimately

killed him valued their Savior as nothing. To them, he was worthless. And yet it was for them and

us that Jesus allowed himself to suffer those indignities. It was for them and us that he allowed

himself to be killed. No matter what

value others place on Jesus, he values us and our eternal potential. His love and vision for us is

always perfect and pure. What a blessing to have a brother and savior like him. So the takeaway of the

day in five words or less is, you're worth it to Jesus.
