Hey, it's Callie Black here with the day's thought. Let's open up to Psalm 30 verse 4 as we celebrate Easter week.

During one of my years of seminary in high school, my teacher used songs to help us memorize

certain verses in the scriptures. And still to this day, whenever I get to one of those verses,

the song and the melody immediately pops into my head. As silly as the songs were, I can recite

almost all of these verses perfectly from memory

almost 20 years later. What songs or hymns teach you about your Savior's atoning sacrifice,

his crucifixion or his resurrection? In Psalm 30, verse 4, we read, sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.

For some reason, honestly, beyond earthly explanation, a special power comes from setting doctrine to music.

This Easter season, try filling your home, your car, your room, or your phone with songs

If you want to remember Jesus often, there aren't many better ways than constantly having a song about Jesus, in your ears or in your heart.
