| 0:00.0 | Welcome to One Minute Scripter Study, a Come Follow Me podcast. |
| 0:05.0 | We are your host, Kristen Walker-Smith and Callie Black. |
| 0:09.1 | Hey, it's Callie Black here with today's thought. |
| 0:11.2 | Let's open up to Isaiah chapter 53, verse 6 as we celebrate Easter week studying Christ through the Old Testament. |
| 0:18.3 | Jesus Christ is the perfect example. |
| 0:20.6 | During his mortal ministry, he showed us |
| 0:23.5 | the pathway to take. Have faith in Jesus, repent, be baptized, do good, love everyone, and submit to the will |
| 0:32.2 | of God the Father. But even though we have this perfect roadmap in front of us, each of us will walk off the |
| 0:40.8 | pathway. Every day, there will be a slight variation in the direction we walk, because on some |
| 0:46.2 | level, we think we might know a little better than God. But in Isaiah chapter 53, verse 6, we read, all we like sheep have gone astray. |
| 0:57.9 | We have turned everyone to his own way, and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. |
| 1:07.9 | Jesus not only knows the unique paths that we will take, but he is also taken upon himself |
| 1:15.2 | every single pain of every incorrect path. He knows precisely what walking in each thorny area, |
| 1:23.8 | slippery slope, and deep ditch feels like. The good news of the gospel is that we don't have to |
| 1:32.2 | feel ashamed when we go off the path. Instead, we can turn with love in our hearts to the one |
| 1:43.0 | who took upon himself the iniquity of us all. |
| 1:48.1 | So the takeaway of the day in five words or less, Jesus knows your painful path. |
| 1:55.8 | Thank you so much for being here today and for coming closer to Christ with me one minute at a time. |
| 2:07.9 | Hey, are you ready to follow the children of Israel as they make their journey through the wilderness? But then they also arrive in the land of Canaan and start to establish their land |
| 2:13.3 | and there's kings and there's judges and all sorts of drama. I would love to help walk you through all of this.
