Hey, it's Callie Black here with today's thought.

Let's open up to Isaiah chapter 53, verse 6 as we celebrate Easter week studying Christ through the Old Testament.

Jesus Christ is the perfect example.

During his mortal ministry, he showed us

the pathway to take. Have faith in Jesus, repent, be baptized, do good, love everyone, and submit to the will

of God the Father. But even though we have this perfect roadmap in front of us, each of us will walk off the

pathway. Every day, there will be a slight variation in the direction we walk, because on some

level, we think we might know a little better than God. But in Isaiah chapter 53, verse 6, we read, all we like sheep have gone astray.

We have turned everyone to his own way, and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Jesus not only knows the unique paths that we will take, but he is also taken upon himself

every single pain of every incorrect path. He knows precisely what walking in each thorny area,

slippery slope, and deep ditch feels like. The good news of the gospel is that we don't have to

feel ashamed when we go off the path. Instead, we can turn with love in our hearts to the one

who took upon himself the iniquity of us all.

So the takeaway of the day in five words or less, Jesus knows your painful path.
