Like I said, we're going to take a few moments. I'm going to read from the Bible.

whatever your notion is of God or what do you believe about God,

We don't assume that everyone that's in this room

has professed faith in Jesus that's okay but I think

it's gonna be hard for you not to recognize how good he is once we get done

tonight so that's kind of the goal and then we'll sing we'll sit back down and

then we will go get some food or happy hour or whatever is you going to do sound good

It sounds like a plan all right all right so the enthusiasm is stifling all right let's go Let's go to the Bible. I'm going to read from two places tonight.

First place is the book of judges. Anybody want to water?

Yeah, I knew it. I knew you, I knew you would do it. We're athletes, kind of what we do. It's not a big deal. The book of judges in the Old Testament, I want to read, I kind of want to take you from the thought

of this guy named Gideon in the Bible.

If you haven't heard about him, you'll get to know him tonight.

But let me give you the context.

Before I read how his story starts

I want to kind of give you what how the story ends and then so when I read it to you you be like ah

Now it has more meaning so Gideon is this guy, he's a farmer, he's part of the Israelites,

and they're being attacked by this group of bad guys called the Midianites.
