Chelsea and I have three kids. We've been married now almost 20 years. It's actually hard to believe it.

We get three kids. Zion is our oldest. He is 15. I almost forgot his age.

Elliot is 12 and our little girl, Grace, is 10.

And one of the great joys of life,

if you have kids, nieces, nephews, or even neighbors.

It's so awesome being a part of your kids' lives,

watching them grow up.

And by the way, I'm going to sound so old,

it goes so fast, right?

They grow up so fast. But part of our daily routine, it's not intended, it's not

planned, it's not prepared for it, but part of our daily routine always includes one of the three kids saying something to the effect

of what about me?

What about me?

You have three kids, almost always. One of them is going to feel either left out not seen not heard can I get some ice cream then can I get a sucker can Can I get some candy? What about me?

And of course as a dad and a mom, Chelsea and I can so easily get frustrated, right?

You're like, ah, what about you? You're fine. You're so provided for but it's actually our human condition, isn't it?

It's our nature to ask the question, well, what about me?

Let's be honest for a moment. For those of us that follow Jesus, one of the operative words in our whole

belief system is serve. Right? Jesus was quoted saying I actually didn't come to

be served, I came to serve giving my life away.

One of our mantra in our faith system is, hey, we're going to be servants, right?

We're the servants of all.
