Here is a reality that will improve your life the second it just really sinks into your bones.

I was speaking to a friend recently who has a lot of siblings like I do, and she was just saying that, you know, her sisters and brother will never get it.

They'll never get why and how she lives her creative life that to them looks unconventional.

She's full of joy.

She does things her way, and she said to me, I think I just have to understand that

they're never going to get it. And I said, well, my love, not only are you just accepting reality

right now, but you have given yourself so much energy back. You've just given yourself the key to

a gorgeous life, letting people be wrong about you.

Now, some people are committed to misunderstanding you no matter what. It's not your job to please

them. And some people will misunderstand you just because that's what they're capable,

that that is their level of capacity, their level of understanding,

maybe isn't met by you in this lifetime. And that's also okay. You can be misunderstood and still be right. I have a friend in my life in New York. His parents have stopped

communicating with him.

Since he came out as gay, gosh, 30 years ago, maybe more, he's misunderstood, but he is still

right, living his way as the real him. Just because his parents, this is unfortunate.

I know, sadly it happens. Just because they

cannot understand him doesn't mean he's doing anything wrong. Not everyone is going to understand

your life and not everyone's going to understand who you are. Not everyone's going to understand

the real you or ever even really see the real you. But here's what

you need to know about that. Someone else's approval or if someone else just simply understands and

accepts you, it doesn't mean they're right. It doesn't mean that they're accurate somehow.
