At the same time, I DO want to learn, because when it comes to relationships, I don't wanna make the same mistakes I've already made.

As in, when it comes to love, we want to CHOOSE how other people love us.

We want to change them to be who WE think they should be.

When it's clear they aren't gonna change (or if they do, it's just to get us to shut up about it, so they resent us while only pretending to change), we get mad at THEM...

When really, we're the ones who put these expectations on another person that they didn't ask for.

Listen, there's nothing wrong with asking for what you want.

But expecting someone to change who they are to love you how you say you want to be loved is trying to choose how someone loves you.

And your expectations could be the source of fights, arguments and other problems in your life.
