Hi everyone, welcome to Radio Headspace and to Tuesday.

So I was trying to find a parking spot outside the grocery store the other day,

and it was not going well.

As I drove around, I watched a trio of vehicles stand off over a space that was becoming available.

The sound of horns threw out.

I finally found a space among a sea of frustrated drivers.

And as I pulled in, I started thinking about how people tend to deal or not deal

when they can't get what they want.

And something much bigger than finding a parking spot came to mind.

I've had to find acceptance with the fact that I'm not going to be able to birth my own child.

And today, I thought it would be helpful to talk about my journey,

especially since it was difficult for me to find stories like mine when I needed them.

So whether it's something small like a parking spot or something bigger like a promotion

or in my case, dealing with infertility,

how can we find comfort when what we want just isn't an option?
