I have always been odd, A-W-E-D, by the way, not ODD.

I've always been awed by the prophet Enix's life.

Just imagine what it must have been like to be there with Enick when he had this experience,

quote, and I saw the Lord, and he stood before my face, and he talked with me,

even as a man talketh one with another, face to face.

And he said unto me, look, and I will show unto thee

the world for the space of many generations. A face-to-face conversation with the Lord and a vision

of his creations, like sign me up. But as soon as thoughts like that come up, I think, well,

that's just because Enoch was a prophet, or Enoch was pretty close to being perfect, so those experiences aren't possible for a normal

person like me. Would you agree? One day I was reading one of my favorite books, The Pursuit of

God, by Christian Minister Aden W. Tozer. He asked the reader to consider why some people find

God in ways that others don't, and why some

know him so personally, while others only know him peripherally. His conclusion was this. God

doesn't play favorites. Anything he tells one of his children, he is more than willing to tell all of his

children. The difference he said isn't in God, it's in us.

I believe that's true. I believe God is willing to talk face to face with you and me just

like he did with Enoch. But first, we have to be willing to make the sacrifices Enoch made to be

ready to talk with God. So the takeaway of the day in five words or less is,
