What's going on guys? Welcome back to the Jeremy Scott Fitness podcast and radio show. Coming to you quick this Thursday morning on something that you guys already know. I touch on it in a handful of podcasts, but I just want to reiterate it again. If you're driving to work, going to work, you're sitting at work, you're coming home from work, you're thinking about work. Maybe you're stressed by it. I want you guys to hear this and know this. And this isn't just tied to work and money. It's to your body, to your life and the experiences that you have that you're fortunate enough to listen to this. You are a one percenter, you guys. You are the one percent of some of the luckiest people on earth. And I truly believe that if you can listen to this and hear this, I believe that is true for you. Now, you might be going through some shit right now. And it's hard to see the forest from the trees, especially if life is kicking you in the face, and that's part of it. It's just a season. I promise you it will pass. But with that said, you still have to have gratitude, especially in those moments. Because it's not who we are when life goes great and 15 things are going amazing and the sun is out and we can have a drink can chill on the beach and relax on vacation. That's not what this is. You have to have gratitude in the shit moments when your flight gets delayed, when your house floods, when you lose your cell phone, when 14 things aren't going your way. That's when you have to have gratitude. And what I'll say is just to you guys, you have to be grateful for the life that you have, not the one that you don't. I repeat it. You have to be grateful for the life that you have not the one that you don't i repeat it you have to be grateful for the life that you have not the one that you don't oftentimes we get

1:18.2

caught up and wanting and wishing and worrying about a life that we don't have or a life that we

1:23.8

think we want that's why i wish everybody could get into amazing rip shredded shape that's why i wish everybody could be rich as fuck that's why I wish everybody could get into amazing rip-shreaded shape. That's why I wish everybody could be rich as fuck. That's why I wish everybody could drive

1:31.0

their dream car and take their dream vacations and do all these super cool things and let them

1:35.5

realize that it's not always what you see on the other side. And oftentimes what we're wishing

1:41.3

for is not what we really think it is on the other end because all those things come at a price. I'll get to that in a second. There's a quote in our wall and I said this the other day we put it in this t-shirts and I want people to hear this. The quote reads this in our facility here at Jeremy Scott Fitness is that someone else is praying for the things you take for granted. There's people out there praying for the things that you guys have every single day. They look at it as like a dream luxury, but they don't have it,

2:04.1

and you do. And you look at it like it's nothing, like you deserve it, that you should just be given

2:08.7

this. Think about this for a second, you guys. There are millions of people out there wishing for

2:14.4

your life. And there are other people out there, millions of them wishing for your problems and there are other people out there millions of them wishing for your

2:20.0

problems now let that sink in for a minute there's millions of people wishing for your life

2:24.6

and there's millions of other people wishing for your problems alone because your problems are better

2:30.5

than their normal fucking life you have to let that sink in and know know that sounds crazy, but you have to understand this. If we're talking money and opportunity and perspective, if you're in America especially, do you know if you make just over $34,000 a year, you are one of the richest 1% of all people on the planet? Let me kick that to you again.

2:51.4

Did you know?

2:50.5

And it's correct. I'm not making this up. You can Google it. You can research it. If you make just over $34,000 a year by yourself, you are the richest 1% of all people on this earth. That has to be mind-blowing for some of you guys. Now, that doesn't mean in America. obviously in America you have to be more to be a one percent or in America you have to make around $400,000 a year to be mind-blowing for some of you guys now that doesn't mean in america obviously in america you have to be more to be a one-percenter in america you have to make around 400 000 a year to be a one-percenter but if you take the scope of the earth because that's what we're doing and that's what the world is we're born in a world together just over 34k you're one of the richest one percent because there's people out there you guys who are making over $2 a fucking day. A lot of people on this planet earn just over about $2 a day. Now, I know they live in a different economy, different country, different system, and that's cool, but you are crushing it, but you don't even realize it. So the next time you guys think you don't have enough, understand that you probably are the 1%er. What we get caught up in doing is in thinking we always need more or that we deserve more we a lot of people have this sense of entitlement like they deserve to live in the nicest neighborhood in the nicest house drive the nicest car and take the nicest trips and you guys can work and do all that shit if you really want to but what i'm telling you it's sometimes it's not always what it's cracked up to be.

3:59.5

Our problem is that we look at everything else that we don't have and we don't focus on what we do have. It's like with your body. You focus on the 99 things that you don't like about your body instead of the 1% or 2% of the things that you should be like, wow, holy shit. it's mind-blowing to me that we focus on the things that we don't have and we need to be focusing the things that we do have. So we can't be comparing our car and our clothes and our house and our body to our neighbors and our coworkers and our friends because we have so much more than we even understand. The fact that you can take a couple of minutes to sit down and listen to this on your phone or on your computer somewhere is a luxury that millions of people will never get. I'm driving at the point of this podcast is you guys just have to have gratitude every single day in your life for everything you're given, even the smallest shit because I promise you this, I know people who are ripped and shredded and they look amazing and you guys would envy them and they hate their body and they're miserable because their perspective is off. Their-awareness is off they don't have gratitude for their gift i'm lucky enough you guys have been doing this for 10 years i've been able to travel the world do a lot of really cool dope shit my life is amazing i get to work with multi-millionaires here and a lot of them you guys they feel like they're broke because their perspective is off they don't have gratitude for what they do have or they're the most stressed people on the planet because they think they have to play at this scale for so long and so hard and they're not happy and they're broken emotionally. And so they've gotten caught up in a race that they're never going to win. I also know people on the flip side who make about $25,000 a year and they feel like they own the fucking world and they have a great work life balance. They can travel. They're happy. They're free. Even though they don't make a lot of money, they think they do. They feel they do. Their cup is filled not just financially for them, but in other areas of their life where the money becomes almost secondary. Now, I'm not stupid enough to think that we don't live in the economic world and you guys need to make money to do cool shit. That's part of it. But don't get caught up in a race that you can't win. Don't get caught up in comparing shit thinking you don't have enough when really that you do. It's just you thinking that you deserve certain things. You have to have certain things. And that comes down to attitude, you guys. Attitude is gratitude.

5:59.3

If you see things in your life as they really are not better than they are not worse than they are but really how they are with a grateful outlook or at least of you

6:04.1

view every experience in your life is a chance where you can learn you can grow you can change your

6:08.4

entire life in a matter of minutes now it might take you you longer than that. It took me a long time.

6:07.9

I acted like an asshole for a long time in my life, especially my younger years. We grew up broke as shit. I didn't have much of anything. And I always wanted other stuff. And now that I'm to a point in my life where I make money and I can buy pretty much any of the shit that I want, I don't even want it. I know that sounds crazy.

6:11.4

But now that I can afford a lot of the things that I always dreamt about as a kid, I don't even want it. I know that sounds crazy. But now that I can

6:28.5

afford a lot of the things that I always dreamt about as a kid, I don't even want them because

6:31.9

it's not about the stuff. It really isn't. And I wish you guys could all get to a point where
