I'm Adi Jaffe, and I'm so happy to be here with you today.

In the book, The Absinence Myth, I talk about four factors I see involved in addiction all the time,

and that is biology, psychology, environment, and spirituality.

Most of the time, I talk about environmental influences, which are rarely talked about, and then spirituality. Most of the time I talk about environmental influences,

And I stay away from biology and psychology because those are the ones that get the attention

most of the time. But I wanted to flip that a little bit today and talk about biology in a way that I haven't in a really, really long time. I want to do this for a couple of reasons. First of all, there are really amazing interventions and things that you can do biologically that I think not too many people know about or definitely not too many people use. That's number one.

And the second is most of the time when people think of biology, you think of the two biggest
