And as we begin this new week on the 16th of September, here at Podcast, your host Daniel Harwitz, by the way,

back here it is truly hard to determine the issues that matter because it's just every

second there's another big thing.

You know, so I had a bunch of notes jotted down ever since we got off the air on Friday.

We had a great show with Ali Best Stucky about the future of social conservatism, feminism, had a

conservatives could appeal to women and how we're needlessly turning them away

and then we had a bunch of things take place over the weekend.

So I was going to obviously focus on that.

And then of course, well, you know, another day, another attempted assassination of

Donald Trump. And you know know that sort of emblematic of the times we live in

where you could literally have two attempted assassinations in a matter of what two months so there's a lot of

crazy things going on I don't know what's going to happen with this I do know we're all thankful that it took

place in Florida so to the extent there's something to uncover Governor DeSantis has

promised to launch an independent investigation from day one parallel to the

federal government. The first guy was killed, this guy is still alive. So we should be able to know a lot about what's going on very quickly.

So the first half, you know, I'm not going to spend the whole time today, but I do want to spend the first half on what we know about the assassination

attempt but I just want to tell you from the get-go not to bury the lead and

lose the plot here that and again this is not an opinion a hope I'm just stating a fact
