Solomon closes the book of Ecclesiastes with these words. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter.

Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

Each of us have been given only one life.

What will we do with it? Life. It's not a game. And in this journey through the book of Ecclesiastes, Scott Pauley will guide us to better understand the true meaning of life.

The Word of God tells us that God makes his son to shine on the evil and the good,

We come today to Ecclesiastes chapter 11, verses 7 and 8, and their thought-provoking.

Let me read them to you. Truly, the light is sweet and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun.

But if a man live many years and rejoice in them all,

yet let him remember the days of darkness,

for they shall be many.

All that cometh is vanity.

Solomon is describing the light and the dark, the good days and the bad,

the ups and downs, the mountains and valleys. It's a reality. It's a reality for everybody.

The sad reality for Solomon, however, was that as he neared the end, he was thinking more about the dark days than he was
