Solomon closes the book of Ecclesiastes with these words. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter.

Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

coming to the conclusion, and he's giving us some clarity. He's bringing us from folly to wisdom.

In our last study, we looked in Ecclesiastes 10 at wisdom for our words.

Now we come to the opening six verses of Ecclesiastes chapter 11,

and today we find wisdom for our work.

This is, I think, so tremendous, so helpful,

because it is a repetition again of this principle we keep seeing of the law of

sowing and reaping. It works on the negative, but yes, it also works on the positive. Let me read

with you the opening verses. Ecclesiastes 11.1, cast thy bread upon the waters, for thou shalt find it after many days.

Give a portion of seven, and also to eight, for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.
