From time to time, it's my privilege to share a Bible message that God has used to affect my life in a unique way.

And today's message from God's Word is from a guest preacher and someone that is very

special to me. I hope you'll get your Bible and follow along as we listen for the Lord to speak to our

hearts. I want you look down at Job chapter one in verse number 13. The Bible just simply says

0:35.5

at the beginning of that verse, and there was a day.

0:38.3

Then I want to draw your attention to chapter number two.

0:41.3

At the beginning of verse number one, the Bible says, again, there was a day.

0:46.3

And with God's help this morning, I want to preach a message entitled,

0:49.3

What will you do when your day comes?

0:52.3

As we read throughout our Bibles, one thing that we have to always remember is that the Bible

0:58.2

that we hold in our hands this morning, it was not given to us in chronological order, simply

1:03.2

meaning that though Job may be the 18th book of the Bible, that does not mean that it

1:07.0

was the first book that was penned and inspired by God.

In fact, many theologians believe that Job is the oldest book in our Bible. Now, we know that when we look in the book of Job, we know that we're going to see a story of a man that literally hits rock bottom in his life. You know, I don't believe that it is a coincidence that the book of Job is one of the oldest books in our Bible, because I believe that God wanted

us to know very early on in life that it is possible for a man to go through trouble. It's possible

1:32.8

for a man to go through trial and have heartache and still get out on the other side of that

1:37.1

trial just as God intended for us to get out. You know, mankind has been going through trials

1:42.1

since Genesis chapter 3 when sin came into the world. Peter said it like this in 1 Peter chapter 4 in verse number 12. He says, beloved, think it not strange concerning these fiery trials which are to try you, as though some strange thing has happened unto you. Look, this is what Peter said. Peter says, hey, when that trouble comes knocking at their door, when trial comes knocking at your door, he says, when heartache comes and when pain comes, he says, don't look at your trial as though it's some strange thing that's happening to you. Mankind has been going through trouble. Mankind has been going through trials and pain since sin entered into the world in Genesis in chapter number three. When we look over into the book of Job, we're seeing the story of a man

that just keeps getting hit with trial after trial after trial in his life. Job was living well,

2:24.6

Job was making good money, his children were doing well, but in verse number 13, the Bible simply

says in Job chapter one that there was a day, there was a day now listen to me very well this day
