My name is Elizabeth Silly, and I was the head of intelligence in Bogota during the hunt for Pablo Escobar.

Pablo Escobar was one of the world's most infamous drug traffickers. From his stronghold of Medellin,

Colombia, Escobar rose from the slums to feature on the Forbes magazine's Billionaires

List in 1987. He was a folk hero in his hometown of Medellin and one of America's most

wanted men in the early 1990s. It is this world that has been brought to life in the Netflix drama series Narcos.

Narcos is based on the real-life story of agent Steve Murphy who worked for the US Drug

Enforcement Agency, known as the DEA.

Steve was sent to track down and arrest Pablo Escobar in Colombia.
