Good morning everyone and welcome back to another mornings with the masters.

We're going to devote ourselves to the Lord daily with you.

We are rounding out with day five of our devotion by Bob titled,

Why does the Christian Life seem so hard?

if you guys want to follow along.

And as always, I'm going to read the scripture

that I'm also going to pick with the devo.

The scripture is Romans chapter 8 versus 1 through 4.

And it says this, so now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus and because you belong to him the power of the life-giving spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was

unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature, so God did what the

law could not do.

He sent his own son in a body like the bodies we sinners have.

And in that body, God declared an end to sends control over us by giving his son as a sacrifice for our sins.

He did this so that the just requirements of the law would be fully satisfied for us

who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the spirit.

The devotional titled, Let the Struggle Take You deeper.

And it says this, most days I wish I didn't have to live out

this struggle, don't you? I wish God would uproot sin in my life, draw me closer to

him or squash temptations just a bit faster.

And yet, in his wisdom, he leaves us in this life-long struggle.

I'm not sure of all the reasons God operates like this, but here's what I do know.
