Congress is home for the week out in their districts to campaign, but on what?

What are they campaigning on?

To seek power for power's own sake? Well, it's actually

worse than that. When you focus on the number of Republicans over Democrats, especially in a

bad year when you're not going to get too many Republicans elected, rather than the quality of

primaries, then you get a Trojan horse GOP

where you get negative efficacy embedded in the tissue of our body politic and no recourse,

because if you have the other party monopolized by the left, well, there's nowhere to go to

start a new one. So I want to revisit our thesis,

as we always do at the beginning of the week, to see where we are in terms of Congress, the trifecta,

but also in red states, we're going to have a guest on from Oklahoma coming up, my favorite

legislator there as well, to show you how even where Republicans

don't have the filibuster or they don't have to face a filibuster.
