Now is the time of monsters.

This is hell. Back in June of last year, the U.S. and Israel launched

what would later be called the 12-day war against Iran. It now appears Iran showed remarkable

restraint in the retaliation to the 2025 military offensive. At the time, we suggested online

and on air that it was the beginning of World War III.

The end of those attacks, however, gave us what now appears to be false hope that a larger war

could be averted. Some may have still shared those hopes up to the moment President Trump

announced the attack on Iran just recently

on Saturday. Dirk had interviewed the day before Israel and the U.S. started bombing strategic

military sites as well as civilian areas, hospitals in a school. The Omani foreign minister,

Badr bin Harmad al-Basadi, spoke with CBS News.

The foreign minister said of talks with the Trump administration to avoid war, if we can't

agree Saturday on this deal, and it can be agreed very fast, then there will be the access

given to all the experts to go and assess what we have at all nuclear sites in Iran.

We'll have the access diplomatically without having to go to war.

Foreign Minister also told CBS the single most important achievement, I believe, is the agreement

that Iran will never, ever have a nuclear material that will create a bomb.

This is something that is not in the old deal that was negotiated during President Obama's

time.

This is something completely new.
