What do women need to understand about men in order to understand them better?

I got a question the other day on Instagram from a woman who basically asked,

what do I need to know about men that maybe I just don't understand?

What do I need to know about what it's like to be a man in order to better

understand the man that I'm with or the men that I work with?

And I thought this was a very interesting question.

And so we're going to dive into five simple things that I think would help almost every

woman understand a man's lived experience in a much deeper way. And these are five

you know, the differences between being a man and being a woman and what it's like to live in a

male experience, the first thing that came to mind was imagine removing from

your life, your closest friends and network. The people that you talk about your hopes and your

dreams to, your fears, stuff about your body, your emotional life, what's happening in your

relationship, you know, how your sex life, what's happening in your relationship,

you know, how your sex life is going, you know, how things are going with work or your family

or your, you know, your other friends. Because the reality is that the average man is quite

isolated. The average man is not necessarily lonely per se, but, you know, recently there

were some stats that came out that something like one in five men within North America

can't identify a close friend. I actually think the stat was 15%. Apologies. 15% of men in North America can't identify a best or close friend.
