Hey friends, I just wanted to make a quick note so that you could have an easier time

listening to this episode and understanding what we're talking about.

In this episode with Dr. Stacey Sims, we talk about the phases of the menstrual cycle.

The follicular phase is the first phase of the menstrual cycle, then you ovulate, and

then you, after, between ovulation and your period, you go through something called the

luteal phase.

When Dr. Sims is talking about these two phases, she references the low hormone phase and

the high hormone phase.

The low hormone phase is the first half of your menstrual cycle.

So that follicular phase where day one, you start your period, that's the start of the

low hormone phase because all your hormones have tanked, they're on the floor, and they

slowly, slowly build up.

You ovulate, and then the high hormone phase that she's referring to when she mentions

this is the luteal phase.

So that's the second half of your menstrual cycle when your hormones peak, and then they

drop, and then you get your period, and then you start the low hormone phase.

So again, low hormone phase, follicular phase, first half, high hormone phase, luteal phase,

second half.
