A casual glance at the condition of our world will reveal just how far away from God our society has traveled.

reminder that we need revival. In this study, Scott Pauley leads us through a study of the Old

In a world filled with so much wealth, so much materialism, there's a great deal of talk about

corporate greed. But today, I don't want to talk to you about corporate greed. Today I want to talk

to you about personal greed because greed is always personal. Oh, it may show up in a corporation or a group or a family or a church,

but it is rooted in our own sinful hearts.

And it is one of the woes of Habakkuk chapter number two.

Remember, God's dealing with his own people and God is addressing the Babylonians. God's going to deal with sin in lost men

in the end and God will deal with sin in us now. And one of the things God deals with and addresses

is this matter of greed. It's the second woe. It's found in Habakkuk chapter 2, verses 9 through 11,

and we read these words, woe to him that coveteth

an evil covetousness to his house that he may set his nest on high that he may be delivered

from the power of evil thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people and ascend against thy soul.

For the stone shall cry out of the wall and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.

This is sobering because this not only deals with our heart, this deals with our home.

Do you see how when God deals with greed, he shows the negative consequences of it,

not only on one life, but on a legacy, on all of the people that we say we love,
