A casual glance at the condition of our world will reveal just how far away from God our society has traveled.

The psalmist very frequently would cry out to God out of real frustration about why the wicked were getting by with certain things and seemed to prosper in their way.

Well, Habakkuk grappled with the exact same thing.

One of the great struggles for Habakkuk was not just that he was praying for his people, Judah,

but he was looking at people more wicked, more worldly than his own people,

emphasis of the second part of Habakkuk chapter number two. Now, we've been concentrating on the

and it's rich because it's all about God's people. But when you come to verse number five,

down through verse number 20, God is addressing the Babylonians, the enemy at the gate,
