Even if you don't have a tattoo, you are even welcome in our church. Amen? I know some are you thinking,

I got to get tatted up so I can fit in at church. Did you ever think you would say that? Well, be like Jesus gets a tattoo. Hey, if you've got a Bible, grab it, we're

going to be in Judges, Chapter 8, 9, a little bit of 10 today. We are kind of in the middle of this

multi-week series called Again. It's a study of the book of judges. At this point, I don't have time to recap all the judges that we have studied that Israel has been on this constant cycle. That's why we're calling it again,

this constant cycle of regret, remorse, try again, instead of repentance. And last week,

we ended off on the story of Gideon, and we stopped at the kind of the peak and the

pinnacle of his career.

Today we're going to talk about how the mighty fall.

See, I want to take you back to 1920.

Oh, before I do that, happy 4th of July, and I never want to miss the opportunity to just say

that we are land of the free because of the brave.

1923, a group of our greatest leaders and richest businessmen in America held a meeting at the Edgewater Beach Hotel in Chicago.

Among them were Charles Schwab. He was the head of the largest independent steel company.

Samuel Insull, president of the world's largest utility. Howard Hobson, head of the largest gas company.

Ivan Kruger, president of International Match Company,

one of the world's largest companies at that time.

Leon Frazier, president of the Bank of International Settlements.

Richard Whitney, president of the New York Stock Exchange.
