We're going through a study right now in the book of Proverbs to gain wisdom and insight

and how we are to live life as believers in Jesus.

Or today, we are going to be talking about the blessing that it is for a man to find

a wife.

This is straight out of the Bible, Proverbs 18 verse 22.

It says, he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.

Friends, what an amazing statement.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.

Now I want to start off here by addressing the men.

Men, do you look at your wife and see in her a sign that the Lord has given you favor?

That's what this verse is saying in one respect.

When you have a wife, you have a blessing that God has given you.

Now this flies in the face of many of the stereotypical characterizations that you see in

our culture.
