At the same time I'm recording this on Thursday morning, the White House is announcing a new push

for electric vehicle charging standards.

But there's a potential shortcoming with the 500,000 chargers the federal government is

racing to build. They have wires. My guest today is here to tell you

that's the equivalent of building payphones right as the world is moving to mobile. As the

transportation department is talking, Massachusetts startup,

WITRicity, which already works with many automakers,

has announced a $25 million strategic funding investment with Siemens.

Together, the two companies are embarking on deploying wireless charging technology across the globe.
