My name is Carrie Green.

We are walking through the book of Proverbs and we are in Proverbs chapter three today

verses one through four.

And as we're looking at verses one through four, one of the things that stood out to me

in this passage is that wisdom by its very nature is practical.

It's something that we apply day to day and it has very logical, sensible, practical outcomes

as we do that.

Let's read Proverbs three one through four and I think you'll see right away the example

that this passage gives us of how wisdom is practical.

This is my son, do not forget my teaching but let your heart keep my commandments.

For length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.

Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you.

Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, so you will find

favor and good success in the sight of God in man.

One is not some mysterious thing that brings kind of magic benefits into your life.

Wisdom is a very rubber meets the road kind of practical thing.

When you have understanding of how to apply certain characteristics and ways of living

in your own life, certain results naturally occur.

Let's look at this passage to see an example or two.
