My name is Jeff and today Greg and I are going to

be sharing tips for winter mountain biking on the cheap. Mountain biking during the winter doesn't

require a lot of specialized equipment, though that stuff does exist if you want it. The good news is you

probably own all the gear you need and the things you don't have

aren't as expensive as you might think. We're going to give a bunch of different recommendations

for all kinds of products and apparel that you can use in this podcast. But just note that

some of these might apply to you and where you live. Others might be overkill or underkill.

So just use common sense for that

because we're trying to talk to riders that span, you know, the entire hemisphere, entire globe,

really. So whether you're doing winter in Georgia or winter in Alaska, hopefully we'll have

a few tips that you can pull on from this podcast. Right on.

So let's start off with clothing.

And starting with the shoes, actually.

So a lot of mountain bike shoes are designed to be really well ventilated.

So they all have like mesh panels and things like that that help in the summertime to keep your feet cool.

And they also help, you know, if you get water in them, like through creek crossings,
