Ian's in Washington presiding over the attack on Iran, but he might be coming into a studio

to join us to give us the inside briefing on it. And that's obviously where we're going to start.

And then we are going to return to, I mean, obviously this has a huge impact on domestic politics

in itself, which we'll explore.

But then we will have a look at the spring statement that Rachel Reeves delivered on Tuesday afternoon,

which had no real content in terms of policy, but was politically actually more interesting than perhaps it might have appeared to be.

But we'll look at that once we've explored the start of World War III,

if that is what it's ever.

Let's hope it gets nowhere near that.

Miranda, when you hear the conflicting descriptions from various figures from the American administration from Trump downwards

about the war aims, does it not fill you with complete alarm?

Yes, it does, particularly because then the retaliations that have come from Iran

doesn't seem to be what they were expecting. So there's a whole bunch of both their intentions

and what they were prepared for, you know, as you sort of follow the decision tree down the

page, as it were, that don't seem to be clear at all.

So I think there's a lot of levels on which to be very concerned about this.

And, you know, is it supposed to be regime change?

Yes, then no, then yes again, then no again.

You know, is it all about, you know, backing up Israel, no, then a bit of yes and then no again?

You know, is this an in and out just from the air?
