Very good morning to you. It's three minutes after 10 and one begins to wonder whether light at the end of the tunnel might actually be.

On the program today, I'm interested in pubs. Well, nothing new there, but of course more interested for now in the question of whether or not a lot of them are going to be there when we come out of the end of the coronavirus crisis.

I'm hearing some astonishing stories of pub management companies insisting that their tenants,

self-employed tenants who run pubs, continue to pay rent even though they are obviously closed

for business.

I'm interested also in people stranded overseas and whether or not

they are getting the help that they need. How acute is that particular problem? I want to look at

testing and we'll begin, I think, with that last point with the testing question. It's a tough one

this. I hope we will, by the way. It's a tough

one this because you have to ask questions, right? The most obvious question at the moment for me

is how can Germany be doing half a million tests a week while we are struggling to do a fraction

of that.

And if the government don't provide answers, and they generally don't, I'm going to

tell you something now, which you should probably sit down before I share this with you.

I turned my radio on shortly after waking up this morning.

I wasn't quite sure who I could hear being interviewed on the radio. I found myself thinking, this, this fellow sounds very fluent. This

fella sounds very plausible. And then, much to my shock and horror, I realized it was Grant Shaps.

But I saw him being questioned elsewhere a little later this morning. And he categorically

didn't answer this question. Can you answer it?

Why is Germany testing half a million people while we are testing so few?

Because here's the problem.
